Aloha WWOOF Hawaii Hosts

We have officially launched our brand new website this week after many, many months of hard work. Woohoo!!! We have greatly improved the design and simplicity within our new site, therefor it will be much easier for everyone to use.  We have added many new features as well that will help make to WWOOF experience a greater success for all. We have listed some of these new features below, so please check them out. Please note, you will need to add some additional information in order to update your profile with some of these new details. If you don’t update it, it will not appear through our search filter when specific boxes are checked. Please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions. If you would like learn about how to use our new website, you can watch an instructional video by clicking here.
New Website Features
– We now have a separate Facebook page dedicated to each island, which will allow users to chat with other WWOOFers and Farms located on their island.  This will make it possible for new WWOOFers to meet other members before they arrive to Hawaii.  It will also allow WWOOFers who are on the same island to schedule events or afternoons of just meeting up for a good hike or going to the beach.
– Hosts can now upload up to 8 photos on their profile and will also be able to add two videos.
We believe these features will better inform and prepare WWOOFers of what it is like at your farm so that they can choose one that is best for them.
– Host can now leave a review/comment on a WWOOFers profile and vice verse.
– We have created a more extensive search filter in order to help WWOOFers find a farm that suites them best.  Hopefully saving them time from viewing many profiles who are not what they are looking for.
– We also have created a very easy to use and well designed format for viewing members profiles.
– You can now keep track of the messages you’ve sent and received within our website.
Coming Soon
– A page dedicated to providing Hosts with data sheets they can use to help them manage their farm and volunteers.  Files such as WWOOFers applications, weekly time sheets, to do lists, and waivers for WWOOFers to sign.  If you have any forms or files you use on a weekly basis that you think would help, we would love to make them available for other Hosts.
If you would like us to send you any forms, please contact us and we will email them to you.
– A map feature showing approximately where each farm is located, which will make it easier for WWOOFers to know where they are going.  This will also allow Hosts to see what other WWOOF farms are around their island.
– A video library for farming in Hawaii.  We will have about 20 different categories about soil, how to grow coconuts, bananas, avocados and much much more.  We hope you can help us build this library to help educate our members and other farmers throughout Hawaii.

We still have many more things planned for the website and for WWOOF Hawaii and always appreciate your input or suggestions, so please feel free to let us know about your experience.
Many Blessings,
WWOOF Hawaii team
